Elmer Rubber is offering free cement glue repairs on its website, and it has created a Facebook page to encourage people to report leaking cement glue.
On Monday, the company said it had fixed several of the biggest cement glue issues and promised to refund people who were charged for a leaky repair.
The company said the issue was traced to a faulty supply chain, and that its customers should contact the company to arrange a free repair.
“The first and most obvious step is to ensure that your Elmer rubber product is properly packaged, secured and stored safely,” the company says on its Facebook page.
“This means making sure that your product is in the right place at the right time.
If you are not in possession of a tool to secure your product properly, please contact our Customer Care Team at (800) 472-1148 to request a free cement repair.”
Elmer Rubber says it does not know the cause of the leaks, but says it is committed to working with customers to resolve the issue.
The company also says it will be contacting affected customers via the Facebook page and email.
